the shade controller alone isnt really valuable; only when combined with the bridge i felt it was worth the money. you can set routines and even basic controls going up and down is easier with the bridge (without it, every time i wanted to change the shade position i basically had to connect to the controller TWICE because the first connection always resulted in an“accidental connection loss” or whatever error)

The system is responsive. I have 6 smart curtains working together. It takes about 10 seconds from the command until all the units start moving. Not a big deal. My curtains are heavy so I'm glad this item can move them. Very happy with the results.

100% AVOID. They crack, crunch, gets get worn out, loud, snap your chain, lose their position, constant adjustments. Not worth it. Nearly all the units had issues. I returned all 5 but they are claiming I sent them a box of women’s clothes and blankets. They won’t give me my money back. Great idea, poor execution

The curtains are actually in my work out room (flex room). My wife doesn’t like going in there just to pull the curtains. This bridge works great with it’s automatic scheduling so she doesn’t have to worry about it and it’s easy to use with Alexa as well.

The smart bridge landed right at home in my IT closet. I like how it has both a wifi and Ethernet connectivity options. Not 100% sure base functionality would not fit into the SmartShade, but I like what the base accomplishes so far

Absolutely love the product. After I installed the first SmartShade, which was very intuitive, I decided to do all my windows in my Condo. After that, I purchased the SmartBridge which allowed me to program routines and to group the individual SmartShades. Once that was finished, it was simple to integrate the functionality to my Apple HomeKit.
I was very impressed how smoothly the shades raise and lower especially because my shades are heavy, which you can tell by manually raising them and lowering them.

These work great! I have huge mill windows and they open them with ease, and they were very hard to open. Alexa works great, Apple HomeKit also. I’m not sure why people aren’t happy with the Apple support because it works just fine. The right shade shakes the curtain because I have the chain too loose, I’ll fix that. Overall expensive but so worth it in my case.

I have 2 blinds and the smart bridge. It took several minutes to get the smart bridge set up and several tries. It was tricky to get it to connect even in sort range. Now that it's connected though, it all works smoothly! I really enjoy having the blinds open automatically at my alarm clock. There is quite a lag so it's not perfect, but it works!

After installing the wireless RYSE shades, I decided to add the bridge to enable more automation. It works great, but there is a limit to the range of the bridge; it cannot be too far away (or too obstructed) from the actual RYSE units.

The app without the smart bridge is very buggy and takes forever to load but with the smart bridge and routines, everything is automated with Apple Home. I'm a mechanical engineer and enjoy adding many (many, many) "smart" devices to my home. This Smartbridge is a solid design and works perfectly with my Alexa app and my three wired smartshades. Every morning I say the Alexa wake command and then I hear the current temperature, the weather forecast for the day, then the shades slowly open to gradually illuminate the room with low light. Bravo!

I had four SmartShades devices for two shades on Bedroom window and two shades on Living Room window.
Buying the SmartBridge was a great upgrade since now I can use Google Home to control the SmartShades via voice commands.
The only improvements I'd suggest the RYSE is to enable the devices for Automation Routines within Google Home app. For some reason I'm unable to set up a "sleep time" routine that would close both of the bedroom shades at the same time.

Set up was simple! Did have an issue with it not finding the RYSE but it turned out it was too far away. Otherwise working great. Would love if RYSE could add automations in Google Home Automations. Currently it does not allow you to add an action in automations/routines in the Google home app. Otherwise great experience so far!

The new Ryse gear is a definite improvement over the old version. I was left a little cold on the company after they promised for years functionality on the blinds that would allow you to control all of them at the same time, and yet they never delivered. Installation of the system is a bit clunky (there's a cable included in the hub to connect it to a router, yet no reference on using it in the directions as they covered WiFi connections only). Support is responsive and helpful. Little things seem to get in the way, but thusfar all blinds are working well.

I replaced the Axxis Gear with RYSE only because the bracket on the Gear was broken and I could not replace it. But the new RYSE works even better. It's MUCH faster and MUCH quieter even on the heaviest 8' x 6' room darkening vinyl shade. Loving it!

Feels a little first gen with some issues setting up and high costs but once everything was up and running it’s been a great automation. Wish you didn’t need a hub to run scheduled as that’s kind of the whole point here but made it work. Will consider adding to the rest of my windows.

I'm pleased with the final product. The Ryse SmartShades operate my 2 blinds smoothly. Controlling them with Alexa is awesome! Installation was tedious. It took a while to adjust the length of the chains so the devices would mount above the window sill. It took a while to connect the SmartBridge to SmartShades and to the internet all at the same time. But eventually it all came together quite nicely, and I enjoy the results on a daily basis.

Can’t say enough about the smart shade and smartbridge! So much quieter than expected. Decent speed too. I had been looking at smart shades but liked our shade. They also cost thousands. I know have a smart shade I like and can have Siri open and close it. I set up two automations the Apple Home app for morning and evening! Had a few minor issues installing because of the way my window is setup but their support was great! Five stars all around!

While at first I was not excited in adding another home hub, the SmartBridge works incredibly well.
First, adding to Apple HomeKit via the scannable code on the back was seamless and instant.
Within the Ryse app, the SmartBridge setup was simple and fluid. Within a few moments, I had it added to my network and now have the ability to add Routines to my SmartShades.
The included AC adapter (not all hubs include) was appreciated, and being able to connect either wired or via WiFi is great.
