RYSE SmartShade works in harmony with smart home brands that you already know and love to make life more simple. Control all the shades in your home with some of your favorite brands like Apple, Google, and Alexa.

Nothing is as simple and easy as controlling your shades with your voice. By just saying, “Alexa, open my shades” and letting your SmartShade do the rest.

Warm sunlight or relaxing shade is only a “Hey Google”, “Alexa”, or “Siri” away.

Although at launch, you can expect your SmartShade to integrate with Google Home, Alexa, Siri/HomeKit with our SmartBridge. More great integrations will be available after launch.

SmartShade is fully HomeKit compatible and has a HomeKit certified chip inside. This means that you will be able to control your SmartShades with more than just Siri Shortcuts.

How Smart Integrations Work

In 2021, if a smart home product doesn’t have voice control, can you really even call it smart?

Direct integration with all the key voice assistants (Alexa / Google / Siri) was a key demand from both our product designers and the customers of our first-generation product.

By introducing the SmartBridge and changing the overall communication protocol from Bluetooth/ZigBee (in Gear) to Bluetooth/WiFi (in SmartShade), we were able to add these direct integrations with voice assistants.

The SmartBridge allows other cool features like user accounts, remote control, and, an absolute fan-favorite feature request from our users, true Apple HomeKit integration.

Once the SmartBridge has been added, your SmartShades can use smart home integrations, voice control, scheduling, groups, user sharing, and more to unlock the true RYSE experience for your home.

Adjust Your Shades With Your Voice Using Siri

Control all of the SmartShades in your home using your voice with just about any Apple device including iPhone, Apple Watch, Apple TV, HomePod, HomePod Mini, or iPad.

• Use your iPhone or Apple Watch to open up your shades and let in some energizing morning sunlight simply by saying “Hey Siri, open my bedroom shades”
• Ask your HomePod, Apple TV, and just about any other Apple device to close all your shades for the night with a simple “Hey Siri, close all of my shades”

Do I need the SmartBridge to get smart home integrations?

Yes. The RYSE SmartBridge is needed to allow for your SmartShade devices to be integrated with other smart home devices and to be controlled with your voice with Google Home, Alexa, and Siri/HomeKit.

Will SmartShade work without the SmartBridge?

Yes. But, we highly recommend using the SmartBridge with your SmartShades. Without the SmartBridge you can only use the app and on-device controls for basic up and down control.

Only when paired with the SmartBridge, can your SmartShades use smart home integrations, voice control, scheduling, groups, user sharing, and more!

Will SmartShade be HomeKit certified?

RYSE SmartShades is fully HomeKit compatible and has a HomeKit certified chip inside. This means that you will be able to control your SmartShades with more than just Siri Shortcuts.
